On a cold winter night in 1985, Jeff packed his ’56 Ford, left hometown Minneapolis and migrated to the sunny and warm American Riviera.
Within 48 hours of arriving in Santa Barbara, Jeff Doubet was hired as a live-in Butler/Chauffer for a prominent Television Writer/Producer.
Destiny or Luck... Jeff found himself moving in to a magnificent, 1930s Spanish Colonial Revival Montecito Estate.
The Tollis Avenue Montecito Estate instantly became an Inspirational Setting, and the Beginning of Jeff Doubet's Interest in Spanish Home Design and Classic Santa Barbara and Montecito Architecture.
Since those early days in Montecito California, Jeff Doubet has been an Admirer of Classic 1920s and 1930s Spanish Revival Architects such as George Washington Smith, Wallace Neff and Stiles O. Clements.
Fast forward many decades, Jeff Doubet uses an Artistic Eye and his diverse Background to write articles and blog posts on his Creating Spanish Style Homes Blog.
